REUNION TRIVIA

This page will be for information that you may or may not be aware of that came up during the reunion in no particular order. Please feel free to send comments and anecdotes and I will put them in here as a post or send me your anecdotes via email me.  BL

• It took two classmates to raise the memorial tent and six to take it down and it would still be standing today if James Lecas (I think it was Jim!) hadn’t come along and said, “Oh, I think we need to press this button!”  Ahhh, time for a beer after that ordeal in the heat!
• Alan Sobel stayed on at the Fireside to serenade classmates.
• Speaking of serenades, on the cruise ship a group of beautiful blondes arranged for a waiter to sing  “My Girl” while they joined in the chorus!  (There were a few beautiful brunettes too!)
• A faculty member didn’t get flowers at the Fireside – was it Mr. B
• During the cruise, Susanna Hartig Burke and Alan Gerber gave Bonita a beautiful pen to support and encourage her writing career!
• Do you know who was left out of Budlong photo on cruise ship?
• David Yossell, Tony Pavaltos, and Sam Cali came to The Joynt on Friday night.
• Liz Ross Cummings and Linda Scandura schlepped six chairs to the memorial and Alan Gerber brought the tent and table (contributed by Mike Goldman).
• There was one very foxy lady doing the hula while passing out leis for the cruise.
• Did you know that many of our students – of all colors – were mandated by the City to bus to Amundsen?  Some had to transfer more than twice to go to school  i.e., they were not transported on a “school bus” – no, they had to take public transportation!  I thought I had it tough trucking across the snow filled plain of Winnemac Park!
